It is with great regret that we announce the death of Robert Gibbons, who founded Smart Art Signs over 40 years ago.
Throughout the early years Rob worked hard to build up the business to what it is now, and has quite literally left his mark on Castlebar, all around County Mayo and beyond, in the form of shopfronts, vehicles and businesses everywhere. He was a person who thoroughly enjoyed his work, and the opportunities, creativity and independence that it allowed him. We’ve received so many touching tributes in the last couple of days and it is wonderful to know that Rob helped so many people and businesses in the community, and was so well thought of for his creativity, hard work and humour.
